Cozy Fall Meals: Beefy Pasta

Cozy Fall Meals


This is another meal that seems to be a hit with the whole family! There is the extra set of browning the meat, but otherwise, this is a simple dump and go meal, with most ingredients already in your pantry! (Especially if you use my fall stock up list to prep your pantry! *wink*)


1 to 1 1/2 lbs beef for stew (you could also use cubed round steak or whatever you have on hand)
1/4 C Flour
1 Tbs oil
4 C water
4 Beef Bouillon Cubes (You can easily switch the water and bouillon for 4 cups of broth or stock)
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/4 C Ketchup (You can switch this for a couple tablespoons of tomato paste)
One box of pasta of your choice (we prefer egg noodles for this recipe, but only had Penne on hand, it’s fine either way!)


Coat your beef with flour and brown in a pan. You do not want to cook the meat through, just cook until the outside is just brown. While meat is browning, combine water, bouillon, soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Put the browned meat in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the top. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. Just before you eat, cook your pasta of choice separately, and then you can mix the pasta right in, or serve the beef and (now) gravy over the top. Serve with veggies on the side, goes great with garlic bread, or even just some good old fashioned bread and butter!
